The Bourbon Bowl - Greensboro, NC

The Bourbon Bowl masterfully fuses urban industrial design and southern elegance. The interior design features exposed brick walls with factory style hanging lights giving it a cool metro vibe. There is also a large, beautiful patio seating area with waterfalls, trees, flowers and whiskey barrels. The exterior walls are also made of exposed brick and have a weathered look to enhance the urban design. Copper tones are used indoors and outdoors. Inside it is used with corrugated steel along some of the walls and outdoors it is used in the waterfall and reflecting pool, for the planters and on the handrail leading to the entrance creating a hip, urban look with a beautiful warm look at night that is enhanced by the reflection pool, dim lighting and copper trimmings.

The owner of the Bourbon contacted Affordable Seating to furnish the large outdoor seating area. Since this would be one of the first things customers would see, it was important for him to have fashionable and durable furnishings. For patio seating he ordered black aluminum chairs with dark walnut faux teak. The dark walnut finish of the weatherproof outdoor chairs goes well with the urban motif, the copper and dark brown tones of the exterior.

For additional seating matching black aluminum bar stools with dark walnut faux teak slats were ordered. The matching bar stools provide a choice of seating options for guests who want comfortable bar height seating. They were placed along the street view and at counters near the window. They help complete the look of the outdoor space by providing continuity in color and design for the patio.

Combined with the matching faux teak chairs, black aluminum patio tables with dark walnut faux teak were ordered and they blend perfectly with the outdoor decor. The table’s black edge and frame finish not only matched the chairs and bar stools but also other aspects of the outdoor decor such as the railing. The table’s stunning dark walnut faux teaks were the piece de resistance of the outdoor patio, cementing the industrial look and adding sophistication and class.

For a bit of a change and to break the dark theme of the decor, outdoor resin table tops in a soft grain stone finish and trapezoid industrial bar table legs were added to the mix and combined with the dark walnut bar stools. The contrast between the dark walnut wood looking faux teak and almost white stone look of the resin table tops creates an attractive focal point that helps to enhance the beauty of the entire patio and building facade.
