It's as if a hunting lodge was taken over by a contemporary design team, transforming the traditional flagstone pillars into light-absorbent shades of smooth modern greyish green. Yet tradition looms large, with the obligatory bear skin mounted on the wall and opulent baroque chandeliers casting a glow over a stack of wood that extends from the natural plank floors to the 20-foot vaulted ceiling.
