Design
Embodying classic Italian design style, Riccardos’ interior is a happy marriage of traditional, country-style, and rustic elements. Copious use of wood provides a homey sense of familiarity, with the planked wood flooring, communal tables, and schoolhouse style chairs providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests as they enter. The subtle browns of the booths, with their tasteful mix of vinyl and fabric upholstery, match well with the tan walls and the brown curtains.
A brick wall with an arch separates the kitchen from the dining area, reminding one of the brick ovens once used to fire-bake pizzas and breads. Traditional landscapes are spaced on the walls, and mid-height wood paneling brackets the booths in, providing a cozy and warm dining experience for all. Communal tables line the center of the room, beckoning large families to sit and enjoy an Italian feast.
