First created in Italy in the early years of the 19th century, the Chiavari chairs or Chiavarina were made popular for their elegant yet lightweight design which includes the ability to be stacked when not in use.

Strength, Durability and Comfort
- Strength - While the frame may be lightweight it is by no means weak. Made of wood, metal or resin the frame is strengthened by front, sides and back reinforcement bars allowing the legs to remain stable and wobble free while not impeding their ability to be stacked on top of each other.
